NBA Commissioner Adam Silver Enthusiastic About Basketball’s Return to Germany

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has raised the optimism of basketball enthusiasts regarding the potential return of the world’s premier league to Germany. In an interview with “Ran,” he expressed his keen interest, stating, “We are eager to make a comeback. Europe, and Germany in particular, hold tremendous significance for us.” He also noted that the recent success of the German team in the World Cup a few months ago has been a significant factor in this desire.

Germany also has “a strong economy, strong interest and a strong sports tradition,” Silver said. Because of the Corona pandemic, however, there has been “a bit of a setback in terms of some of our international travel.”

“So we’ve now reset our plans and are taking another look at many of those markets,” Silver continued.
