Man City narrowly beat Man Utd in derby clash

Manchester City eased to a 3-0 win over Manchester United in the derby on Sunday. It was City’s third win in eight days, but they had lost three of their previous four matches.

Harland scored twice and City homegrown player Foden also scored a goal to help City to victory. City boss Pep Guardiola said the game was one of City’s best performances of the season.

United made three substitutions in the game, with Lindelof and Evans coming on for Varane and Regillon, and Eriksen coming on for Anthony. Guardiola, on the other hand, made a massive rotation from his starting lineup from last round, with Foden, Silva, Guardiola, Stones, Alvarez and Walker all returning to the starting lineup.

United started the game in good spirits, but around the 20th minute, City started to gain the upper hand. In the 27th minute, City were awarded a penalty and Harland took it to give them a 1-0 lead.

City had the better of the game, but in the 32nd minute, United’s McTominay hit the crossbar with a shot. In the 37th minute, Silva’s cross was met by Harland’s header, which was parried away by keeper Onana.

The second half started with another chance for City, this time with a header from Harland, making it 2-0. 3-0 in the 57th minute when Foden put in a cross from Harland.

The win puts City two points behind table-topping Tottenham Hotspur in the standings.
